Flooded Basement in Rochester Hills, MI
This home's flooded basement occurred while the homeowner was on vacation for the the month of February during the very cold Michigan winter weather. The city water department actually came upon the loss when they noticed that excessive water was flowing from the residence. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the finished basement of the residence had over 5 1/2 feet of water. The damage was extensive, and it was found that there was at least thirty-two water line breaks in the home from the freezing weather. The mitigation process involved all three levels of the home resulting in a major demolition of the affected areas. This major event took the crew at SERVPRO of Fraser two weeks to gut and dry out the structure. The homeowners were extremely pleased with the end result and realized what a valuable service we were able to provide our customers.
