As a homeowner or facility owner, you are dealing with maintaining a lot of different functions within your home on a semi-regular basis. Often, something that goes unnoticed, is the need to check for leaks within your water sources.

Older homes, in particular, are susceptible to occasional cracks in piping or leaks in hoses causing for those leaks to happen. It should be a concern of all building owners, especially with the winters and rapid temperature variances in Michigan weather.

Things to look for include:

  • Rips in leather hoses and tubing,
  • Securing the nozzles and areas where water can come in through.
  • Testing whether your water has any sort of discoloration as this is typically a sign of erosion within the piping.

If your home experiences any sort of flood activity this winter, call in the experts over at SERVPRO of Fraser. We have serviced homes and businesses in the Fraser area since 2009, making it ten years within the community.
