How Can SERVPRO Cover All Storms?
SERVPRO franchises across the country are industry leaders in restoring areas after mass weather events like flooding, hurricanes and other sources of extreme weather. The Storm Response Program works to maximize production volume during these catastrophic events, and mitigate the damage as quickly and diligently as possible. There are four franchise owned Storm Teams that respond to events across the country, prepared to help at anytime, anywhere. SERVPRO always answers the call and mobilizes to service National Accounts clients' customers.
Larger disasters that need to be serviced provide thousands of opportunities and require hundreds of crews to be dispatched to the area to help restore. Out of state crews from Ohio and Indiana came to Michigan last month during the severe snow storms that hit our region.
Storm Response is managed in six different phases:
- Promote and plan
- Monitor the potential event
- Activate the event
- Execute the event
- Exit the event
- Post event
The Storm Response/ Disaster Recovery Team is not meant to be a severity initiative, however, commercial or large losses often occur in Storm affected areas. When this occurs, storm leaders work with CLLD and LLRT to respond to opportunities and manage the work produced.
