Types of Storm Damage
Storm damage can occur in a variety of different ways and there are a lot of elements to be aware of during a storm.
Typically we see four types of storm damage situations: Water, Wind, Snow, Hail. Water damage is our most predominant type of storm damage. Usually this occurs after a foundation issue, a sump-pump failure, a roofing issue, or water coming up and through drains and water shutoff areas.
Snow damage is another issue that can occur quite frequently in the winters. Snow and water damage have obvious similarities, but they can have different types of impacts. Snow and ice can block pipes and cause pipe bursts, which can lead to more internal damage compared to a regular water loss.
Wind Damage typically occurs on the exterior of their home, but can lead to interior issues when the exterior issue is pretty widespread.
